Animated by love and respect for the natural world – two key elements of Cycladic culture – Iosifina Kosma is inspired by the depictions of flowers on the wall paintings of Akrotiri – by their delicacy, rhythm, and fluidity, their modern and yet timeless design. Her work organically encapsulates these aesthetic qualities and, imbued with her personal style, brings out a sense of wholeness, balance, and harmony, which traverses the intersection between past and present, and pays homage to the legacy of Cycladic artistry.
