Alban Turquois (b. 1996) is a French artist based in Strasbourg (FR). Influenced by contemporary design as well as popular and decorative arts, his practice pays close attention to everyday life, the sensorial qualities of materials, and the treatment of surfaces. Containers, seating, worktables, and shelving become opportunities to learn through making, where function, touch, and display coexist. Alongside the objects themselves, supplementary narratives emerge through collaborations with craftspeople and friendly exchanges, allowing multiple readings to remain open at once. He holds a DNSEP from HEAR, Strasbourg, 2021, and a Certificate in Ceramic Art Creation from IEAC, Guebwiller, 2022. He has participated in residencies including Neuf Kilomètres, Moly-Sabata, Sablons, 2024, and research work with CEEAC, Budapest, 2023. Selected exhibitions include The Mignon Show: Variation on Korean Arts & Crafts, Graziella Semerciyan Gallery, Paris, 2025; Expanded Drawings, Kunst Raum Riehen, Riehen, 2024; SUNNY CORNER, Salon Première Classe, Paris, 2022; and Diplôme, HEAR, Strasbourg, 2021. Selected solo exhibitions include À la recherche d’Éos, CEEAC, Strasbourg, 2024.
