BCK 2026 Curator

Anissa Touati is an internationally recognized curator and researcher at Brown University, where she develops the concept of “Intertwined Legacies of Space.” She recently served as guest curator (2023–2024) at the Musée d’Art et d’Histoire in Geneva, was curator-at-large at Paris Internationale (2020–2023), and Artistic Director of Contemporary Istanbul (2018–2019), where she introduced the concept of “Mediterraneanism”. Over the past decade, she has held artistic leadership roles in international institutions and curated exhibitions in Spain, France, Belgium, Lebanon, India, Nigeria, the US, and beyond. She has taught at institutions such as MIT, Harvard GSD, and the University of Zurich, and writes for exhibition catalogues, galleries, and magazines such as Flash Art and Apartamento.
