Exhibition Design
Aris Petrou was born in Athens. He graduated from the high school in Preveza. In 2004, he started to study in the Architecture School of Venice, Italy (IUAV) and in 2007, he graduated from the Architecture School of Patra, Greece. As a young architect, he has worked in the Archaeology of Modern Monuments of Preveza/Arta/Thesprwtia (2007-2008) and has also collaborated with the architecture office Doxiadis+ in Athens (2008-2019). Some of his interests are landscape study and analysis, art, painting, sculpture, ceramics, traveling and he is also a collector of works of art. In 2019, he founded the architecture office studio A21 in Athens. Studio A21 has been working on projects of various types and scales, such as the urban scale, the scale of a house as well as the scale of an ephemeral exhibition pavilion. All projects are characterized by an anthropocentric approach always in a dialogue with the landscape. Some of the projects of Studio A21 so far are the redesign of a coastal front in Rethymnon (Crete), a duplex house in Mets (Athens), an apartment renovation in Kolonaki (Athens) as well as in Bilbao (Spain), exhibition booths in Houston, in Geneva and Saudi Arabia and a series of summer houses in the island of Milos (Greece). The studio has also published projects in architecture magazines.
