Ayla Tavares (b. 1990) is an artist born in Rio de Janeiro and based in Madrid. She develops her practice in dialogue with archaeological methodologies, addressing questions of how we inhabit and imagine the world. Her work explores temporal layers of memory through investigations into archaeological artifacts, architecture, and everyday objects.
