Darien Arikoski-Johnson is an artist based in Atlanta and an Associate Professor at Georgia State University, Atlanta. His work is recognized internationally through grants, exhibitions, and residencies. In 2012 he received the Emerging Artist Award through NCECA. He has received multiple grants, including support from the Danish Ministry of Culture for a residency and exhibition through C.R.E.T.A., Rome. His work received the Gold Prize at the Korean International Ceramic Biennale, Icheon (KR), 2021, and in 2023 was featured in the 62nd Faenza Prize, International Competition of Contemporary Art Ceramics, Faenza. His work is represented by Alan Avery Art Company, Atlanta. Selected exhibitions include the 62nd Faenza Prize, International Competition of Contemporary Art Ceramics, Faenza (IT), 2023, and the Korean International Ceramic Biennale, Icheon, 2021.
