Menandros Papadopoulos is a Greek ceramic artist born in Piraeus, based in Athens. He studied Economics at the Athens University of Economics and Business, Athens, and later pursued Ceramics at the Sir John Cass College of Art, London, after which he devoted himself fully to ceramic art. His practice spans sculptural forms and wall works, with a focus on raku techniques, as well as decorative and architectural ceramics. Alongside his artistic production, he has played a significant role in ceramic education and professional development, teaching ceramic theory and techniques across a range of institutions and contributing articles to specialist publications. He participated in the research team for the digital publication Ceramic Glazes – The Seger Method, EU program ADAPT DELPHI. He has held leadership roles in professional associations, serving multiple terms as president of national ceramic unions and contributing to the establishment of the annual industry exhibition TECHNIMA, 1984. He has been a member of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece, Athens, since 1990, and continues to work and teach from his studio in Athens.
