Orhan Gorbon

Orhan R. Gorbon is the CEO of Gorbon Tiles, a historic Turkish ceramics company renowned for its high-quality wall tiles and artistic ceramic objects. Born and raised in Istanbul, he studied at the Deutsche Schule Istanbul and completed a Psychology minor at Boğaziçi University before continuing his graduate studies in New York. He began his career in the marketing department of Villeroy & Boch USA in Princeton, NJ. With a strong family legacy in ceramics, he revived the GORBON brand in 2018, reestablishing it as a leader in contemporary ceramic production with facilities in Istanbul and İzmir. Alongside his professional work, Gorbon is a dedicated arts patron and an accomplished offshore sailor. He is the founder of the Bosphorus Cup (est. 2002), a prestigious international sailing event, and is a member of both the New York Yacht Club and the Yacht Club of Greece. His multidisciplinary background and commitment to both craftsmanship and cultural exchange make him a valuable voice in the international ceramics community.
