General Director of Centro per l’arte contemporanea Luigi Pecci in Prato

Stefano Collicelli Cagol (PhD) (Padova, 1978) since 2022 is the General Director of Centro per l’arte contemporanea Luigi Pecci in Prato, Italy, where he curated the exhibitions “Eccentrica. Le collezioni del Centro Pecci” together with Formafantasma; “Diego Marcon. Glassa”; “Louis Fratino. Satura”; “Margherita Manzelli. Le Signorine”; “Davide Stucchi. Light Lights”; “Colorescenze. Artiste, Toscana, Futuro”; “Yu Ji. Hide Me in Your Belly” and he has launched the performative project “Centro Pecci Nights” and the format “Centro Pecci Dispacci” to discuss news issues. From 2018 until 2021, Collicelli Cagol was curator at Fondazione La Quadriennale di Roma, where he curated the large-scale exhibition dedicated to Italian art Quadriennale d’arte 2020 FUORI, Palazzo delle Esposizioni, Rome, 2020-21. Through the years, Collicelli Cagol has collaborated with various institutions such as: BY ART MATTERS, Hangzhou; Trondheim Kunstmuseum, Trondheim; Steirischer Herbst Festival, Graz; LUX Artists’ Moving Images, London; Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, Torino. In 2014, he got his PhD in Curatorial Practice and Exhibition History at the Royal College of Art in London. He is member of the Steering Committee of the MIC-Ministry of Culture and Comitato Fondazioni per l’Arte Contemporanea which is organizing the project “BEL PAESE, Promoting Italian Art Around the World.”
